Budosprzęt was delighted to be involved in one of the key industrial projects – the construction of a state-of-the-art butadiene plant in Płock. Projects of this scale are not only an engineering challenge, but above all a test of logistics and the flexibility of formwork systems. We provided solutions tailored to each of the three stages of the work:

Stage 1: Foundations and plinths.
Our formwork systems enabled the construction of octagonal foundations, including plinths for precast columns, whilst allowing for easy modification and rapid repositioning of the systems between successive foundations. Efficient manual assembly was also key.

Stage 2: Walls in excavations.
We opted for the tried-and-tested MidiFORM system in combination with support trestles. Thanks to the modularity of the panels (widths in 5 cm increments), we completely eliminated the need for time-consuming wooden inserts, which significantly sped up the reinforced concrete work.

Stage 3: Electrical building and high ceilings.
We also used MidiFORM formwork to construct the building, which proved ideal for the walls in the recesses. To support the high ceilings, we used H20 girders and Roro L support towers (1.25×1.25 m) – ensuring rapid assembly.

An additional benefit for the client was the option to hire 21 mm thick three-ply plywood in the dimensions 50×15, 50×200 and 50×250 cm.
